An iphone application which was introduced by Viper, a California based company which might mitigate this winter.

“Think out of box”,A free downloable application “SmartStart” can connect your iphone with a hardware module installed in your car. Just like James bond, you can start the car, start the heat or A/C, raise the trunk, lock or unlock the doors, and sound alarms from any location ,hold on you cannot drive!!!

To start the car using iPhone you need
1.iPhone with free App(It works with Wifi or dataplan)
2.Viper SmartStart hardware module (install it in your car & module costs atleast $300)

Security ramification has to be taken care .Starting your car even if it isn’t within direct line-of-sight is great advantage,what if you have started the car in unsafe situation where you wouldn’t want to, secondly there are cars which comes with default remote starters which has cut-off timer which rest the engine if you didn’t show up, typically 10 minutes.

You can control five basic functions of the car from anywhere provided with wifi and this coolest application is free to download, you also have a set back on hardware cost(at atleast $300). It comes as free service for first year,and there after an annual charge of $30 USD added for your car safety.

Smartstart is also joining the list of automotive iphone applications which has recently drive the market.
